My amazing time at Maraetai Beach!
On Febraury the 17th, me, my aunty Renee, my aunty Mayce, my mum and all my siblings went to find pipis... but instead of pipi's we found alot and alot of star fish and baby crabs! Me and my cousins and aunty went for a walk down in the the rock pools and we spotted some more baby crabs. We went to the other side and there were alot of pipis and there were some more star fish and some more baby crabs. Seaweed was wrapped all around the rocks and black sand and we tried to swim in the water but the water was too shallow. What a fun day at the beach I had! By Hariata.

Super Cleaning!
Otara pools!
On Friday morning room 11 was so excited because we love going to the pools. On friday the 16th of May, we went there on a bus. Ms Andrew came with Room 11to the Otara pools. When I got to school, I took out my plastic bag that had my stuff in it so that I could get changed. I got a black vivid and wrote my name on the plastic bag. After that I went back to my bag and pulled out my book bag then I took out my home work book and my spelling book. I put it in the container. Next, I sat down on my desk and took out my book and started to read. Then I heard Ms Andrew say come and sit down for the roll. Room 11 sat down and Ms Andrew did the roll.
She then took us out by the office. The bus came and Ms Andrew said, "The front row please walk quietly into the bus." And they did. Then the second line walked quietly onto the bus. We all sat down and wondered what was going to happen.
When we got to the pools, Room 11 felt so excited! We all love swimming! The first thing Ms Andrew said was for us to go and put on our togs. Then Room 11 had to wait to jump in the pool. Room 12 was in the pool before us. When they were almost finished, they played a game called, "What's the time Mr Wolf." When they played the game, our class laughed because Steve shouted, "It's dinnertime!" And he went to catch Room 12. And he did.
Finally it was our turn. We felt so excited! When we jumped in the pool it felt warm. The first thing the coaches did was to split us into equal groups. The coaches names were Steve, Stan and Peter. In Steve's group we had to do freestyle. In Stan's group they also had to do freestyle. In Peter's group, they were swimming using boards. The last part of the lesson was my favourite because we got to play "What's the time Mr Wolf?" too. That was the greatest game ever! When we came back to school, it was morning tea time and everyone was playing. Ms Andrew said, "You can get extra time."

Awesome Chimpanzees
Do you know what a chimpanzee is? A chimpanzee is an animal that looks like a human, but they are not. They live in trees and love climbing everywhere they go. A baby chimpanzee drinks from it's mother milk for about 3 years. Then the baby chimpanzee is ready to eat what it's mother eats. When all of the chimpanzee are tired, they go up into the tree and make a nest, just like a bird. Then they sleep in until they are ready to wake up. By Henley
My Uncle Hokia's birthday!
My muddy Game of Rugby
On the weekend, me and my family went to my rugby game. My rugby game was at the O.R.F.C. That stands for Otahuhu Rugby Football Club. The team that we challenged was the Southern Hawks and we play for Mangere Sky Hawks. We were getting thrashed because mostly our players were mucking around. Shortly after that though, I got a try because I was running and bumping everyone off. Suddenly we got a penalty because someone hightackled my freind Leo. The referee for our game was Kula. I love rugby! By Leon

My wonderful hardworking team
I had a wonderful weekend. Me and my annoying cousins did some hard work! My cousin Richard came over with his humble brother Josh. My lazy uncle told me and Josh to go cut the grass with him. We went to cut the grass and it was soooo hard to push the lawn mower. Me and Josh worked as a team and pushed it togther. When we were cutting the grass, people drove past us and they saw us working hard. When we finished cutting the grass, we had a bath and after our bath we played on the IPad.
